About us

OUR HISTORY, WHY WE'RE HERE AND WHAT WE DO

Since 2005, Onus® Technologies, has provided an outstanding range of high-quality emergency warning products and accessories at realistic prices.  Growing since it's creation, the company has grown from strength to strength, making advances against it's competitors in the UK and abroad.

From it's inception, Onus has been striving to increase it's range without compromising on quality.  The company now has a substantial array of products available to it's customers and distributors and is constantly developing and sourcing new products.

Now based in Sandhurst, Berkshire, Onus still continues to specialise in LED lighting products and applications particularly for both the emergency and ancillary services markets internationally, and now has an impressive catalogue of products and portfolio of clients.

Award-winning performance
Within our first year, we were already winning awards for our service and design - from then on we've finalised in awards for business, products and services.

Solid partnerships
Rather than having a customer and supplier ethos, we prefer to become partners with our clients allowing us to provide exactly the right product for your requirements.  Strong examples of this can be found by our partnerships and product usage, having provided emergency warning equipment for motor manufacturers such as Lamborghini Motor Cars and Porsche Cars Great Britain in addition to our usual market sectors.

So what does Onus mean?
Onus (oness) according to the English dictionary is a noun meaning a burden, duty or responsibility.  From the outset it was always decided that Onus would be a customer-driven company dedicated to excellent customer service and taking responsibility for it’s actions, including any problems.  From this, the company name was chosen to help ensure the company maintains it’s passion for excellent customer service.

What does the logo represent?
That we’re a British company and proud of it.  The company logo comprises of a roundel with the flag colours of the Union Jack to help reinforce it’s ownership internationally and particularly within the United Kingdom and Commonwealth.  This type of roundel is well-known by it’s association with the Royal Air Force as well as British culture, and therefore was chosen as a main component of the Onus logo in place of the Union Jack itself.
