ONUS IS WORKING TO LIMIT OUR IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT

Onus recognises that its production facilities, workshops and vehicles can have an impact on the local and global environment and that an effective management system is essential in order to maximise the company's contribution to environmental protection.

The policy applies to all Onus associates and companies working in the design, development, manufacture and disposal of its products.

The principles of the policy are as follows:-

  • Integrate environmental factors into business decisions
  • Comply with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and any codes of practice that may affect the company's activites
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the reduction of pollution caused by its activities
  • Develop and maintain the environmental policies as the company changes in size and/or location
  • Optimise and efficiently use resources whilst maximising re-use and recycling opportunities
  • Optimise the use of end-of-life disposal for the company's products in accordance with the relevant directives

A disposal service is in place for beacons, lightbars, LED warning and other equipment when it has reached its end of life or has been damaged beyond repair.  There is a small charge for the service and the equipment is then recycled to its maximum possibility.
